After hearing the news it is truth that Indian telecom is world’s fastest growing telecom. Department of Telecom (DoT) has said in its annual report for 2007-2008, “Production in telecom equipment has increased from Rs 17,833 crore in 2005-2006 to RS 23,656 crore in 2006-07 and the projected figure for the year 2007-08 is RS 26,253 crore. Rising demand for a wide range of telecom equipment, particularly in the area of mobile telecommunications, has provided excellent opportunities to domestic and foreign investors in the manufacturing sector. The last three years have seen many telecom companies setting up manufacturing units in different parts of India.” The news has been reported by ET.Further has been said by economics times, “At the current growth rate, the Indian telecom equipment manufacturing sector is set to become one of the largest globally by 2010. It is great news on growth of telecom industry in India.
Especially in manufacturing equipments growth rate are much higher than others. In spite of International payers like Nokia, Sony Ericsson, LG and others are on market head rather than Indian company.
On the other hand by the TRAI (telecom regulatory authority of India) a hit has been punched on service provider. That was a fine up to Rs 20,000 for allowing unsolicited commercial calls from telemarketers if you are getting calls after Do-Not-Calls registration.

This is good news for users but it can be as well as good for telemarketers? And the question is also that after this it will be grown up like 2007-2008 growth. It is really like that telecom industry is in boom or collapse?
